In Alberta, the Alberta Ministry of Justice and Solicitor General issues the Alberta security guard license. Prior to applying for your security license, you must pass a provincially approved course (ABST), just like the one we offer at OHS Safety Manuals Canada. Once our online security guard training course has been successfully completed, you will get a certificate of completion. You will then need to pass the final government exam required by the Security Services and Investigators Act with a score of 80% or higher. You will then be able to apply for a license.
How do you become a security guard in Saskatchewan?
SASKATCHEWAN SECURITY GUARD LICENSE
In Saskatchewan, there are three types of application you can make to get a security guard license: 1. Apply for a temporary license while you complete training, apply for a NEW one-year security guard license and renew your existing one year security guard license. In Saskatchewan, you cannot apply for a Security Guard License without an employer. Once our online security guard training course has been successfully completed, you will get a certificate of completion. You will then need to pass the final government exam required by the Saskatchewan Registrar for Private Investigators and Security Guards with a score of 75% or higher. You will then be able to apply for a license.
How do you become a security guard in Manitoba?
MANITOBA SECURITY GUARD LICENSE
In Manitoba, the security guard license is offered by the Manitoba Department of Justice Security Guard and Investigators Division. In order to become security licensed as a security worker in Manitoba you need to complete our Manitoba Basic Security Guard Training course, pass the exam, and have a clear criminal record and child abuse registry check. Once you have completed our course, and with the necessary paperwork in hand, you can apply for your provincial security guard license with the Manitoba Department of Justice Security Guard and Investigators Division.
